Does anyone have hotel or bib recommendations for Portrush?

Last May we spent one night at Prospect B&B which is a pleasant rowhouse right on the seaside. The operator serves a good breakfast. However, Portrush was not impressive. Most of the buildings were boarded up or for sale, we only found one open restaurant, and there was nothing along the lines of a nice pub. Maybe there is life in some other area of town...
