How is rail service between Dublin and Belfast? We are thinking about taking a couple of days to go from Dublin to Belfast before we leave Dublin.
Thank you.
Thanks for the reply...on .further research found the time tables. Problem solved!
I just wanted to add that there is a bus that goes direct to and from Dublin which is about as fast as the train and is a fair amount cheaper. However, it is a bus (coach bus) and some people prefer the comfort and spaciousness of a train.
Yes, AirCoach runs frequently and picks up at two spots in Belfast, then goes to Dublin Airport, and then into the city of Dublin. On time, clean, large motorcoach, about two hours from Belfast proper to Dublin Airport, can, and should, reserve ahead online. AirLink does something similar I believe
I haven't done the bus so don't want to knock it, but we loved taking the train. Quick, easy, efficient, quiet, clean, wonderful views and there's nothing quite like being on a train, is there? So that would be my preference. :) (Side note - we fell completely in love with Belfast. We MUCH preferred it to Dublin, head's above in our opinions - I can't believe so many skip it; you definitely shouldn't miss it!)
