question re passing through immigration at DUB

Is it true non European citizens must get a stamp (on the boarding pass? Passport?) going from Ireland to Scotland UK? I read this on a Ryan Air "survival" post. Is this something different or in addition to passing through immigration at the Dublin airport, when flying from Dublin to Glasgow? I'm a US citizen.

There are no immigration procedures into the UK from other parts of the Common Travel Area apart from non-visa nationals.

However Ryanair, in their terms and conditions require all non EU/EEA citizens to have their travel documents checked and stamped at the Ryanair Visa/Document Check Desk before going through airport security for any of their flights. This is their own shenanigan and nothing to do really with the authorities, except preventing Ryanair from carrying someone with invalid immigration status and having to take them back. This would include taking people into the Schengen area when their 90/180 permission had already been used.

I thought it was a joke, but you do need this stupid stamp. When I took a quick trip from Dublin to New Castle, I had to hunt down the Ryan Air person for this stamp. It took a second to get your paperwork stamped, but you do have to seek this person out.

Give yourself time as though you were going through TSA during the holidays.
