My wife and I are traveling with daughter, son in law and Fiona who will be 11 months old. Heard a lot about the pubs, music and food. What are the rules with kids? Are there any kid/ family friendly in Dublin or Dingle? Thanks Rich

Pubs are family friendly - but only until 9 pm. Unfortunately, that is also just about when the music sessions start.

We found that also to be true that usually the live music starts after 9:00 but if you do some research you'll find some that have music starting around 7:00 so the kids can enjoy it too, we happened onto a couple of them but I don't think it was in either Dublin or Dingle area. In Ireland the music and dancing is truly a family affair.
