We will be driving around the southeast of Ireland and have been cautioned about the lack of restrooms in the more rural areas. Is there a guidebook or website?
We used gas stations without a problem.
We've used the pubs, just order a drink. You don't need to order a beer. You're driving and they will happily serve you a soft drink, coffee or tea.
Not really any different than in rural areas anywhere else. Gas stations, pubs, tourist attractions, maybe a cafe. You'll be fine, just try to take advantage of what you do see once you get above "half a tank".
Here's a website we found before we drove around in May:
www.pee.ie
Seriously!
bbgals, thanks a million for the site. As a person with IBS, I am relieved. Pun intended.
You're very welcome! Enjoy Ireland! (I'm a former Silver Springer :)
