I made my first visit to Ireland this July with friends, and we were lucky to get Frank Hughes as our driver. He was spectacular!
His Mercedes van was extremely comfortable with plenty of leg room. He was very knowledgeable about the history, geology and culture of Ireland and lots of fun to travel with. He made a point of getting to know each of us and our individual interests. Frank made sure we got to see and do the things that were important to us whether it was close interactions with animals, fascinating rock formations, or fun historical settings or bars. Each complete with information about the sheep/cow breeds, the history, or an explanation of how the terrain was formed. Frank made sure that each of us had a memorable travel experience. When he realized that all of us loved to cook, he took us for a tour of a supermarket so we could compare the different types of food offerings. (Who knew that Uncle Ben of US rice fame made a large selection of sauces which are not on the shelves at home?) Great fun!
Frank has his own business, so if you are looking for a private driver, check him out. He will help plan your itinerary, book hotels, and you will not be disappointed. His website is:
