I decided that the cost of renting a car for this trip was too astronomical so we did Dublin, then train and bus to Kinsale; for transport from Kinsale to Dingle I must recommend Begley’s aka Dingle Shuttle Bus (cost was €260 for door to door service from Kinsale to Dingle, which was about 3 hour drive). Given that renting a car was €200 per day plus tax, this worked out great for our group of 3! Payment was by credit card with a link they sent in advance, or cash the day of.
