Potential Itinerary- thoughts?

Hello everyone! This will be the first trip to Ireland for my husband and I. We are hoping to do as follows:

2 nights Dublin
2 nights Belfast
1 night Malin Head
1/2 nights Galway (?0
2 nights Dingle
1 night Killarney or Kilkenny-- not sure
and last night back to Dublin for flight home

I am not sure if Galway City warrants two full days, or if I should stay in Ennis for a night.
Any thoughts?

Thanks!

With your itinerary, I would worry that you will spend all your time driving and not getting time to see or do much.

How many nights do you have on the ground and what are your must do and see?

Well, there is so much I want to do and see, it is really hard for me to narrow it down.

I would like to see the Rock of Cashel, Bunratty Castle/Folk park, Cliffs of Moher, Dingle Peninsula (want to do Slea Head drive), Galway since I have heard it's a great town for music, Ashford Castle to do the Hawk Walk, Malin Head as it looks wild and beautiful and possibly see Slieve League, and Belfast for two days to do the Titanic Museum one day and have another day to enjoy the city. I plan on two days in Dublin to see the museums, jail, and just kind of see the city, which I have read is pretty compact.

Any suggestions? I don't want to spend my entire trip in the car. What are thoughts on cutting any of this? I am also thinking 3 days at certain locations and day trips from those spots. Not sure! HELP! :)

Am I right in counting 11 days on the ground? If so, I would stick to the South and plan a return trip to do the north

What about:
2 nights in Dublin
1 night in Kilkenny
Do Rock of Cashel on your way to Killarney
2 nights in Killarney - Killarney national Park, Muckross house and farms, gap of Dunlop
2 nights in Dingle: drive the Ring of Kerry on your way to Dingle, slea head drive
2 nights in Galway: on your way to Galway from Dingle do bun ratty folk park and castle and cliffs of Moher
1 night in Cong or thereabouts to do hawk walk ( one of the coolest things we have ever done)
then back to Dublin for last night before flying home

This will be very busy but doable and give you the time to actually see things

Ashford Castle is in County Mayo.........You have 6 different counties on here!!! Way, way too much. Unless you want to drive all the time.
And why go to Galway area and not go to Cliffs of Moher or the Connemara region, which is the most beautiful part of the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast.
So you have 8 nights? I would cut one of these destinations...........Belfast since it is so far from the other places.

I have a gentle suggestion for your itinerary - and anyone else's itinerary - when posting on this sight.

Tell us WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO! If we know you like horses, we an suggest the new museum called Fethard Horse Experience near Killkenny. If you are a foodie, we can suggest an oyster and prosecco tasting on the beach in Rossbeigh. If you like religious history we can send you on a tour of the Skellig Monk trail to Valentia Island, Ballinskelligs, Waterville.

But just telling us places you are going doesn't open up much, to help us say "oh, you're nearby a great castle ruin" or "there's a cute craft shop there with a local jewellery maker....."

But I do agree with a few other posters - that's a great deal of driving!!
