My wife & I are planning a trip in July 2024.
Our tentative plans will see us in either Derry or Belfast around 12 July.
Any concerns with parades and bonfires around that date (Battle of the Boyne anniversary) that may impact our visit?

As was mentioned, it's not likely that any of the anniversary events will affect you as a tourist. Belfast and Derry are both beautiful cities and are quite safe for the casual visitor.
Rick's guidebook for Ireland used to advise caution if attending any of the events, but I think that exercising a little common sense and monitoring your surroundings for potential unrest will keep you clear of trouble.
Our first visit to Derry years ago coincided with the July 12th events and it was really no big deal. We received timely and sound advice from the host at our hotel that steered us clear of any potential problems. You'll be fine.
