Looking for suggestions for places in Kilkenny for 1 night and Dingle for 2 nights. Will leave Dublin headed to Kilkenny stopping in Glendalough along the way. Getting up the next morning for Rock of Cashel, then head to Kenmare. Already booked something there. There are 4 adults and still looking for a place in Dingle. Checked the Milltown house but it is booked.
Thanks, Sandy
In Dingle, we stayed at Dunlavin B&B. Pleasant place. Just across the bridge, so a little bit of a walk from the pubs and restaurants downtown. Easy parking if you prefer to drive. Nice view of Dingle Bay, (overlooking the graveyard). You’ll like Dingle. Stop by the Music Shop to learn where the best Trad is playing. Say hello to Fungie for me.
Just got back from Ireland on Tuesday, we stayed at Castlewood House in Dingle. It was fabulous, can't say enough about how wonderful it was! It was the best stay of the entire trip-beautiful place, excellent breakfast, very friendly hosts! Perfect, in my opinion!
We stayed at the Lighthouse B&B and loved it. It is a purpose built B&B about a 10 minute walk from the heart of town. The view of the harbor and surroundings from the front porch is fantastic, the people are absolutely great and the breakfast was excellent.
AbbeyLodge B&B in Kilkenny was nice when we stayed a few years ago. More recently we stayed at LawcusFarm Guesthouse, a few miles outside of Kilkenny. A truly different type of experience!
We liked the Lighthouse in Dingle. Rooms on the front overlook the town and harbor, a beautiful view. You can sit on the front patio and have a drink or just relax. Mary and Denis were very welcoming.
My sister-in-law loved Pax House but I think his prices are higher than the typical B&B.
We, too, stayed at the Castlewood House in Dingle and it was our favorite B&B of the entire month long trip!! Perfection!! Since then I have recommended it to several friends and all have loved it!!
Thank you so much for all your suggestions! These will really help! getting so excited for our trip next month!
