Place to stay in Dublin

Hi,

I will be traveling alone to Ireland. Just booked a trip to leave next week. Very last minute :)

I hope to stay in Dublin for 7 nights and take daily trips using Dublin as my main point.

Hotels seem quite expensive. I want to stay in a safe are that is centrally located. Trinity College? I was looking at Jury's Inn Christ Church? Has anyone stayed there? safe for a female alone? any other suggestions? Would really appreciate the help.

Also has anyone used the day trip Viator? Are they good? Suggestions?

I stayed in Buswells Hotel in Dublin within walking distance of Trinity College. Very nice hotel and safe and centrally located. The RS Ireland stayed there and I stayed a few days before and after the tour. They were so nice, I even got to stay in the same room when I came back to the hotel at the end of the tour. Excellent breakfast and nice staff. Hope this helps.

Thank you. Did you have breakfast there? Did you mind them not having air condition? Did they have free wifi?

We stayed at Buswells in June 2014 and were very pleased with it. Our first morning there, I wrote in my journal that we had an excellent breakfast in the hotel breakfast room. WiFi was free and I didn't note any problems with it. We were in Ireland during an unusually warm (relatively) time and I made no note of being uncomfortable in our room.

Thank you all! I have booked my reservation.

Any ideas for day trips? I will be on the ground for 7 days. Staying in Dublin so I can do pubs/music in the evenings. Any ideas?

I've been looking into a company called Viator for the day trips.

Day trips to:

Belfast/Giants Causeway/Titanic Museum
Blarney Castle
Waterford Crystal
Cliffs of Moher
Wickow/Glendalough
1 day Dublin
Dublin/Powerscourt?

Thoughts? Good restaurants in Dublin? Fun evenings?
