Interesting photography article about a project back in 1990 to document how things compared to a cache of images from the late 19th century -- the article tries to show how there are spots in Ireland that resisted the round of globalisation that was going on in the rest of the world around then, but I see evidence of how even when a building itself still stands, its context has been significantly altered, and therefore our experience of it as travelers is quite different from its earlier historical impact.
