We're picking up a rental car (DanDooley) at the Dublin Airport. and driving south to Powerscourt. It looks like the best way to avoid traffic and get the feel of driving on the "wrong side" is to go around the city on the M50. We won't have cellphone or computer access in this part of the trip. How do I pay for the tolls?

The rental car company that we used (sixt) simply added the toll charges to our bill.

We paid our tolls at a gas station or a grocery store.

We used Sixt which is in the same location as Dooley's. It was great. We had initially been told by friends that you had to pick up a card within 24 hours at a gas station.. we stopped to pay the money tolls and the electronic tolls just got added to our car rental bill.
