We will arrive in Dublin from Berlin Germany around noon and then leave the next morning (10AM) for home. Just long enough for a glance. Will have only a small overnight bag. Hope to do a 'hop-on,hop off tour' and then catch some traditional music in the evening.
Is it better to stay in an hotel near the airport or in Dublin? Dont know how hard it would be to get to an airport hotel in the evening (11ish)
Any suggestion re:hotel and places for traditional music would be appreciated.

We will be doing something similar in August but getting in later, 10 pm, and leaving the next day at noon. We booked a room at the Maldron Airport hotel on the airport grounds. We plan to head in to Dublin and see if we can get last call at Temple Bar. The Aircoach bus runs all night between the airport and central Dublin.

The airport is not that far from the city centre, I think 1/2 hour at the most. I had to go to the Dublin airport twice during my visit, because we wanted to take a quick trip to Cork, and it was cheaper and faster out of the airport.
You can do the hop off/ hop on. We got the ticket at the info book at the airport, and I think we used the same ticket from the airport to the center.
If I recall, my flight out of Dublin was like 8:00 am (which yours is later) and I stayed in Dublin and had no problem getting to the airport on time via bus. There was more hassel getting back into Dublin because we're not from an EU country, but had no problem leaving.
