We will have some time in Dublin (Staying at the Doubletree by Hilton Burlington Road) for one afternoon/evening . Can anyone suggest any fun places we can walk to? Pubs, shopping area, churches, etc. We don't want to just sit on our last evening in Dublin. Recommendations and suggestions are most welcome... Thank you
How about a Literary Pub Crawl. www.dublinpubcrawl.com
Walk past St. Stephen's Green to St. Patrick's Cathedral and adjoining park. Continue north to Christ Church Cathedral, which brings you into the Temple Bar neighborhood. From Christ Church Cathedral follow Christchurch Place westbound as it curves northward and reaches the River Liffey. O'Shea's Merchant Tavern is on your right. Owner Ned O'Shea is a well-known trad musician in his own right and often joins in with the band in the evening. Or, follow Christchurch Place eastbound to Fishamble Street, where you will find several good pubs.
Shopping in Dublin means Grafton Street, a pedestrianized road that extends from the northwest corner of St. Stephen's Green to Parliament Square.
