We are about to sign up for the May 7th tour. How far is the Shannon airport from Ennis? Would you recommend a bus or taxi?

The distance is about 28 kilometers. Bus #51 runs hourly, starting from 8:20, and takes half an hour. After your tour booking is confirmed, your confirmation email should include a page with directions to the Ennis hotel.

We took the bus, as we arrived in Shannon around 3:00 (15:00). Our friends arrived at 5:00 (17:00) and they took a taxi. Both are easy to do, as this is a small airport. You basically walk out the front door and there are the buses and taxis. If you take the bus, you pay as you board. Assuming you stay at the Old Ground Hotel, you get off the bus, walk out to the main road, turn left and walk about 3 blocks. The hotel is on the right, across from the church.
