Our 40th anniversary trip to Ireland

By the way, my wife is Kelly and her maiden name is Carlough, but she has no idea where her ancestors are from and really doesn't care enough to research them. Maybe they are from Carlow. She had jet black hair and green eyes when I met her in college so I knew she was Irish. I am looking for suggestions; Kelly and I arrive in Dublin around 1:00 on 14 July and depart Dublin the morning of 21 July. On Rick's suggestion we are booked for two nights at a B&B in Dun Laoghaire, Windsor Lodge. ( not sure about this B& B because it is fairly inexpensive) Our third night is at a B& B near Kilkenny, Newlands Country House. From there we continue south and spend our fourth night in Kinsale at Gallery B&B. From there we drive to Dingle and spend our fifth night at the Dingle Marina Lodge. I have not made reservations for my last two nights. I probably should spend my last night near the Dublin airport to be close for our morning flight the next day. I am considering the sixth night in Galway but maybe I should spend two nights in Dingle ? I would like to see Connemara and some of the coast north of Galway. Looking for suggestions? There are lots of things to see along the way between stops. I plan to ask our B&B host and other locals for suggestions. Would rather stay away from the crowds and tourist traps.

I decided on 2 nights in Dingle based on all the reviews I read here. It is so hard to pick where to stop/what to see ad it all sounds lovely :)
Maybe plan on a return trip?

Happy anniversary to you and your wife!

Definitely go to Connemara, which in my experience is the most beautiful region in Ireland. I'd give it at least two days, though.
