Ophelia hurricane damage?

My husband and I are planning our first trip to Ireland in May. Our plans include Dublin and the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. I had read that Ireland, especially the southwest coast, was hit by hurricane Ophelia this past October. I have tried to research the extent of the damage to the roads, buildings, vegetation and infrastructure but haven't been able to get a clear picture of the extent of Ophelia's impact. This has been a bad hurricane season for us in the US, and I know that it will take months if not years for many areas to recover and be ready to for tourism. Can anyone tell me the situation in Ireland? Thanks so much.

Well,

I can tell you we went for walks down here on the Ring of Kerry that afternoon, wondering if this was the eye!? It hit East Cork, Waterford, and a few other places. Nothing a bad as an american hurricane. If anything, the storm that next Friday was way worse!

I used to live in Key West and a friend told me every blade of grass is gone from his yard. NOTHING remotely like that hit, here. Thank God.
