Open to suggestions about 5-day driving trip in Ireland w/ 15 y.o.

Hello everyone, I am taking my 15 y.o. daughter to England and Ireland for her birthday. So far, I have the England part figured out (fly into London, train to Liverpool to visit Beatles places, then fly to Knock from Liverpool). I was thinking five days to drive from Knock to Dublin. The only two places on our must-do list are Tara and the General Post Office in Dublin. That's it. Other than that, we are completely open to what to see during the five-day drive. I'd like to drive through Limerick since I am a huge fan of Frank McCourt, and perhaps visit Tipperary, where my ancestors are from. But I'm not sure about the time commitment.

The plan is to arrive in Ireland on June 21, drive for five days, then spend two days in Dublin. Our flight departs on June 29 from Dublin.

Any sample itineraries would be most welcome!

Thanks!

I would recommend focusing your remaining time on the west side of Ireland. Two good hubs are the Dingle Peninsula or Galway since they have good charm and nice places to day trip around them (such as the Aran Islands). You can get a visual idea by watching Rick's Ireland episodes. You can find a few more tips also here and from Rick's Ireland guidebook. Here is how Rick describes those areas mentioned:

"Dingle Peninsula My favorite fishing village (a traditional Irish-music pub paradise), which serves as a launchpad for the gorgeous Slea Head loop drive (or bike ride), featuring a wealth of Celtic and early Christian sites.
Galway Energetic university city with thriving pedestrian street scene, great people-watching pubs, and the west coast’s best base from which to reach the Burren, Aran Islands, and Connemara.
Aran Islands Three windswept, treeless limestone islands in the Atlantic, laced with a maze of angular rock walls, crowned by Iron Age ring forts, and inhabited by sparse villages of hardy fisher-folk."
