One-Way tour from Dublin to Belfast

Hi folks,

Due to the very restrictive car rental dropoff policies we have found in Ireland and our own flight departure ex Belfast back to Australia, we have to travel from Dublin to Belfast and have the whole day to do it in.....mid September!

I know there is a multitude of ways of getting there but we are trying - unsuccessfully - to get a bus tour or the like but only the one way, not return that the vast majority seem to offer!

Would any of you have suggestions or advice to help us out here?

Many thanks

Well this is the Scotland forum not the Ireland one, so you might have more luck posting there, but a couple of thoughts....
1. Take a tour but just tell them you will be leaving the tour in Belfast.
2. Take the train.

What appeals to you about taking part of a day tour vs. visiting on your own? It might help if we understood this.

If you can’t find a day tour that meets your needs, it is quite easy to take the train from Dublin to Belfast. Store your luggage at the train station. Take a taxi to the Titanic Belfast and spend a few hours there. Either walk along the river (quite pleasant) back to the downtown core or grab a ride. Have a meal. Explore Belfast for a bit, pick up your luggage and head to the airport.

Ooooops! Sorry for being in Scotland (our next port of call) but thanks for the advice anyway.

Appears the best way appears to be to just jump off the tour bus in Belfast on the way back to Dublin.

Thanks
