One night between Galway and Dingle

My itinerary so far includes one night in Dublin, one night in Belfast, two in Potrush, one on Sligo, 2 in Galway.
I’d like to next travel to Dingle, but am leery of driving to Dingle in one fell swoop. I was planning on spending two nights in Dingle, but now considering a stop somewhere between Galway and Dingle, with just one night in Dingle. Then on to Cork for two nights. Lastly, I have more nights before flying home. I’m undecided about the last two nights. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, for those two extra nights; 2 nights in Dublin and 2 nights in Belfast. You are spending a lot of time checking in/out from place to place with your current itinerary.

You can easily do Galway to Dingle in a day (even if going the long way via cliffs of Moher and the Killimer/Tarbert ferry). So give yourself two nights in Dingle.

The 2 spare nights - add to places where you only have 1 night booked. (One nighters are hard work and you hardly have any time to see the place)

If you still want one night somewhere between Galway and Dingle, Limerick would be perfect.

Do you have a good reason to stay in Portrush two nights? We were there in 2023 and are sorry we picked it for just one night. It was a ghost town of boarded up buildings, few restaurants, and not even a nice bar. Our B&B (the only not boarded up building on the beach) was fine, though.
According to the B&B proprietor, the "restoration grant program" is more generous if you have a derelict building than simply a decrepit building. Lots of investment owners waiting for their building to be declared derelict.
