Northern Ireland without a car

Hi,
I am traveling alone from Belfast to Bushmills for 1 night to Derry for one night, before heading to Galway.

I have booked a car for 1 day to go from Belfast to the Giants Causeway and end in Bushmills. Then next day to see Dunluce Castle and drop the car in Derry, but am still not sure about driving or the cost of a vehicle for one day...

I looked at the train from Great Victoria Station to Coleraine Bus to Giants Causeway but can't seem to figure out how to get to Bushmills without walking at least 1 mile.
Does anyone have tips on how to forgo the car and still see the above?
And how to get to Bushmills and then back to a train to get to Derry?
Thank you for your help!

The bus goes from the combined train and bus station Betty you don't have to walk much just come off the train pass the ticket inspectors down the steps turn left ⬅️ at this point you'll be inside in the bus and train station walk to the end of the building and you'll see the bus departure board....you'll need to get the Ulsterbus service 402 to Ballycastle this stops at the giants causeway marked on the time tables the aird the nook giants causeway
....your friend in Northern Ireland will be Translink they operate the public transport in Northern Ireland (www.translink.co.uk) to get to Derry the best way is to get the bus above back to Coleraine train and bus station then get the train from the same bus and train station...most bus stations are combined with train stations in Northern Ireland there are a few that are not...like Derry/Londonderry which has seperate train and bus stations..if you ticket wise buy a Zone 4 I-link card from the ticket office in great Victoria St in Belfast you can with this card get unlimited travel on the train and bus anywhere in Northern Ireland this costs for one day £18.50 ...a week £60 a month £217 be sure to ask for the zone four I link card this will enable you to make as many unlimited train journeys as you want to as well bus journeys you can plan journeys on www.translink.co.uk by selecting bus and train journeys on the journey planner.......I am from Northern Ireland btw 🙂

Yes the bus the bus goes from Coleraine bus and train station to Ballycastle via Portrush and Bushmills so the bus comes back the same way Ballycastle -Bushmills-Portrush ---Coleraine train and bus station...the service number is Ulster bus service 402 commonly known as the causeway coast rambler bus 🙂

If you go onto www.translink.co.uk Betsy and type into the journey planner "Great victoria st" make sure to select the bus and train options then type in "the aird the nook Giants causeway" the bus stop for the causeway...this will plan your journey showing you the train times and the bus times including the connection in Coleraine train and bus station also another tip is DON'T enter the visitors centre at the causeway you pay for it £13.50 it's a tourist trap you don't need it just go via the tunnel to the right of the visitors centre the only thing you're paying for is the visitors centre not the causeway itself the causeway is free....😁
