The best flights I could get into and out of Ireland were through NOC airport. I had never heard of it, any input? Also, In addition to arrival and departure day, I’ll only be able to visit for 3 complete days in June. I’m a Dad who will be traveling with my 17 year old daughter and we will be renting a car. Any itinerary outlines?
Christie Moore wrote a fine song about it.
Knock or Ireland West Airport doesn't feature much on the tourist itineraries even though it is the fourth-busiest in Ireland. It is in County Mayo and just a short distance from the samll viullage of Knock with its Marian Shrine and is a major site of pilgrimage for the Irish. You will often see mememtos 'I've visiteds Knock'.
With only three days stick to an itinerary based around Counties Mayo, Sligo and Galway. County Galway is popular with vitisitors,
Mayo and Sligo less so. This is a shame as there is some super scenery and lots of things to do and see. Get your daughtert involved in researching places she would like to see or things she wants to do. That way you will get an itinerary you enjoy.
Don't be too ambitious. Driving in Ireland. nd especially bthe country areas is slow and at times can be very slow. It will take a lot lomnger to cover distances than you might expect. Ire;and is also a place to Slow down, relax and enjoy... .
