Our Best of Ireland tour ends in Belfast. We need to catch an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Naples at 6:15 am. What is the best way to travel overnight from Belfast to the Dublin Airport?
“Dublin Express” has two-hour buses departing from Belfast for DUB at 1:55am arriving at Terminal 1 at 3:55am.

The "Dublin Express" bus is your best bet. They have a 1:55 AM departure from Belfast, arriving at Dublin Airport (Terminal 1) around 3:55 AM—plenty of time for your 6:15 AM flight.
Dublin Express leaves from what is literally a bus stop on the sidewalk in the middle of Belfast with no shelter.
If for some strange reason I wanted to do this journey (rather than go down the night before and stay in an airport hotel) I would use the Translink X1 bus at 0100- at least that leaves from the relative comfort of Grand Central Bus and Rail Station. The only possible motive to travel overnight is cost. Well Translink also wins on cost- being just £9 if purchased on line (£16 on the bus).
Presumably Grand Central also still has toilets open at that hour to use before boarding the bus.
The extra hour at DUB also gives a bit more leeway in case of any incident on the cross border motorway or indeed the bus breaking down.
Thanks for the advice! Our trip to Naples is sandwiched between two Steves tours, so if we don’t use the overnight bus, we either lose a day of the Ireland tour or a whole day in Naples, unfortunately.
