We are staying in Westport tonight, planning to drive to Newgrange (3 hours away) in the morning-- since it appears it is not possible to purchase tickets in advance AND tomorrow is a bank holiday, what are the odds of gaining admission??? I hate to rush out of Westport if chances are slim, we depart the next morning so Monday is only chance to see the tomb, thanks

Says open every day. Opens at 9 am, get there early to ensure tour tickets.
I loved this site, enjoy.
I would like to think if you get there early you can still get tickets. We arrived late on Mother's Day in March and tickets were sold out. So disappointed after driving for three hours.
We are back in the States and the answer to my question, for that particular day is, we arrived by 1 pm and were able to get tickets for the 3:45 pm tour-- we enjoyed the visit and would have been disappointed to miss Newgrange and Knowth tours
