Newgrange in July

Hello! Five adults are heading to Ireland for two weeks, with three days in Dublin this July. Since our time is short, we want to make the most of it and hope to visit Newgrange. Can you recommend a good tour company? Are there any must-see spots you wouldn’t miss? We’re already planning to see the Book of Kells, the National Museum of Ireland, and Glasnevin Cemetery, but I’d love to know what else we should add.

Thank you for your help!

Maybe your Newgrange tour could include The Hills of Tara and the Boyne Museum. The Dead Museum, and Dublin Castle are also interesting. Don't forget EPIC.

On our last trip we found ourselves outside The Leprechaun Museum and went in to kill some time before meeting friends. It was quirky and and a little spendy @ 16euros. A guide escorts you through three rooms (more like play scenes) and tells an appropriate folktale in very dramatic fashion. There are no exhibits except each room mimics something, like the interior of a blackhouse. My wife and I rarely agree on how much we enjoyed the visit. We would go back to do a repeat with a different guide, since the stories change.

The Little Museum of Dublin has a similar approach, with a highly talented guide walking your around a few rooms heavily decorated with knick-knacks. Also memorable.

My wife went to Dublinia while I sat nearby in the Brazen Head claiming a table for the music, and she thought it was fabulous.

For Newgrange most, including me, found the Mary Gibbons tour to be outstanding. https://www.newgrangetours.com/. Contact them now. They sell out. If Irish history is your thing also book a tour to Kilmainham Gaol. https://www.kilmainhamgaolmuseum.ie/. Tickets also sell out, so check the website for when they go on sale. I believe it's 30 days in advance. 14 Henrietta Street is another dive into the rise and fall of Dublin. https://14henriettastreet.ie/.
