Hello all. We would like some advice...we are going to be in Dublin on new years eve and need suggestions of what to do. Are there events we need to buy tickets for? We are staying just north of the River Liffy in Beckett Lock

It looks like they have changed the celebrations. When I was there in 2018, there was a concert and fireworks show (with an early time for families, as well as a pre-midnight show) at the Custom House (which you probably would have been able to see from your hotel). We were staying almost directly across from the CH and had a great view. Now it looks like it has all moved to the Dublin Castle.
