In Kilkenny, Mena House B&B. Lovely older home, some rooms are on upper floors. Beautiful yard and flower gardens in the rear. You can choose from several different cooked breakfast options, fruit and cereals are available on the buffet as well. It is about a 15 minute walk to the city center. There is a nice pub across the street attached to a Hotel/spa.

We stayed three nights at Killarney Lodge on Countess rd. this last September and loved it. It's on the edge of town so you don't have to deal with the party scene at night but it's only a 5 minute walk to central Killarney. The owner, Katherine Treacy, is excellent and the full Irish breakfast is wonderful. https://killarneylodge.ie

The Old Presbytery in Kinsale is a nice place to stay--easy to walk to sites and they have plenty of parking. We loved Foxmount Farm in Waterford. It is located outside of town in a beautiful area. Just my opinion but Waterford is not very attractive. We only visited for the glass place. Don't think they even manufacture it there anymore but there is a large shop for purchases.

Grey Gables b&b in Ennis. Inexpensive, convenient location, nice owner and staff.

We stayed at Tyreda House in Ennis. It was a bit out of town but not too far that you couldn’t walk. Lovely hosts, made us feel like family. I don’t know about the other rooms, but we stayed in a triple room at the top of the stairs that was cozy but not cramped, with a view of the countryside. Very reasonably priced too. I highly recommend it!

We stayed at the Cloisters in Kinsale in September 2017 and enjoyed it very much. Very clean, comfortable and a delicious breakfast. Great location too!

Another vote for Old Presbytery in Kinsale. Close to town center, very convenient. Wine and cheese at check-in!

Temple Gate was ok in Ennis. A bit commercial compared to some but right in the center of town.

Hawthorne House in Killarney is sort of on the edge of town. She gave us the entire house next door due to a booking error. Convenient walk into town. Great English Setter met us in the parking lot.
