OK its getting closer (7 weeks) so I'm tweeking the Dublin itinerary. We arrive very early on a Tuesday morning & will go straight to our hotel and leave our luggage then set out to explore (jet lag usually not a problem for us, at least until we get back home).
Day 1 - Ha'penny Bridge for photo op, Dublin Castle, lunch at a pub then St Audeon's Church and Christchurch Cathedral. Back to hotel to rest then dinner nearby.
Day 2 - We have until 2pm before meeting our tour group so would like to go to St Stephens Green, Grafton Street and possibly the National Gallery but if not, then we'll see that another time. Our tour is visiting Trinity College and the Book of Kells then doing a walking tour of Dublin. Dinner at a pub.
Day 3 - After the tour of Ireland, we are back in Dublin. I have tickets for Kilmainham Goal and would also like to visit the Guinness Storehouse, possibly the Old Jameson Distillery and St Patrick's Cathedral.
Day 4 - We leave Dublin for Liverpool but not until 2:50 so we'll have a little time before we have to leave for the airport (thinking if we are at the airport by about 12:30 we should be good). I have Dublinia put in this time slot.
Does this sound doable? I am hoping not to be too crazy rushed and if there's time, we may check out a few other sights but these are the main ones I would really like to see. Thanks for any input.
