Multiple Entries to Dublin, weeks apart. Problem?

I traveled to Edinburgh via Dublin just over a week ago, for a few days, to visit my Scottish long distance boyfriend. No problem going through immigration. Passport stamped and annotated as "in transit" (i believe.)

I have an airbnb stay for 6 days, just outside of Belfast, scheduled for a week from now. (Meeting to celebrate anniversary.) Will be entering through Dublin again. I have plenty of evidence of the fact that I must return home. Does anyone foresee me encountering any trouble with Immigration in Dublin? Any advice appreciated.

To clarify, when you say "entering through Dublin" do you mean you'll be flying from Scotland to Dublin and traveling from there to the Belfast area in Northern Ireland? Or do you mean you'll be departing from Dublin to fly home to the US?

I'm anything but an expert, but either way this looks to me like it should not raise any trouble, assuming you are a U.S. citizen with passport in order and a return flight booked to the U.S.

Thanks everyone! I was a bit unclear about my cause for concern in my first post. The nature of my concern is more about whether immigration would take issue with the fact that I was reentering the CTA from the US so soon after my last visit. I've heard that too frequent visits can lead to denial of entry.

You will have no trouble re-entering Dublin. Immigration doesn’t really care how often you enter a country. They care only that your documents are correct and that you have not stayed over the maximum number of days in the UK or in the Schengen zone (different time limitations).

The main concern over multiple entry is if it is being used to in effect stay for a prolonged period greater than you would do with a single one.
