Can anyone recommend the Morrison Hotel in Dublin? It is across the Liffey on the north side from what I can see from the map on Ormond Quay. It is operated by Hilton and I have points I'd like to use but am not familiar with the area as far as safety.
Thanks,
Barbara
did you do a search on the hotel forum? i believe i have heard this hotel mentioned before.
If this is the place, it gets very good reviews!
I stayed there in 2018. It is in a great location that is safe and easy to walk to many different areas of the city. It was a little too modern/chic for my taste, but my then 18 year old loved the decor. They also have a good restaurant and bar, and breakfast was quite good as well. I would stay there again without reservation. I believe that they recently renovated the property so it should be in great shape. I was surprised that the restaurant is frequented by locals and often used for weddings. It doesn’t feel like a Hilton or chain type property.
If you have enough Hilton points though, the Conrad is a much better option in my opinion. It can be difficult to get reservations at the lowest point rate (which I believe is 70,000 points). I’ve stayed there twice and I liked it even more than the Shelbourne, where I stayed once on Marriott points!
Thanks for the positive recommendation. I did a search but only found one reference.
Will check the Conrad but probably don't have enough points.
Thanks all!
Barbara
