Meals to go near Heuston and Connolly stations in Dublin

Does anyone have recommendations for places close to each station where we can grab decent meals to eat on the trains? Looking for somewhere to grab breakfast to go near Heuston and lunch to go near Connolly. Thanks!

I'm not sure the offerings at Connolly are "decent" for lunch. You might do better to pick something up before heading to the station, depending on where you are staying. A good choice for a packed lunch is the large grocery store in Dunnes or M&S. If you're staying near St. Stephen's Green, as many on the Forum do, there is a Dunnes in the Stephen's Green Shopping Center, which is an interesting building. You think it's maybe old, but it's not. Built in the 80s. It's tacky but also kind of cool. There's a Starbucks in there, as well, probably lots more options.
Probably the places at Heuston would be fine for breakfast if you can't take something away from your accommodation.

Thanks — there are certainly places near our hotel (Drury Court) where we can pick up pastries prior to taking a cab to Heuston for a 9:20 train. Definitely a do-able option.

For Connolly, we’ll be heading there after a visit to 14 Henrietta Street (10:00 am visit to Henrietta Street; 1:00 pm train to Newgrange). Depending on weather we’ll either walk or take a cab from Henrietta Street to the station. It’s just a day trip so we won’t have luggage so anywhere within a few blocks of the station we could pick up lunch to go would be great.

Jervis Shopping Center would be right on your way walking from 14 Henrietta to Connolly. There is Dunnes, M&S and a pretty big Tesco in there. Any of them would have something quick to take along.

Just FYI, you should allow the Henrietta Street to last about 90 minutes.

Also, there is a M&S To Go shop at Heuston Station, where you should be able to pick up meals and snacks to go.

Have a wonderful time.
