Lux through Heathrow to Dublin, going through customs/Immigration in Heuston?

Hi, I am flying from Luxembourg to Dublin and have to change planes in Heathrow. When I land in Dublin, how much time should I allot to get out of the Terminal and catch the Dublin Bus to Heuston? From there I am taking the train to Galway but arriving just after the Hotel shuts Check-In for the night!
I am trying to see if I could catch an earlier bus/ then train but if the bus I think I would be taking, gets in to Heuston only 15 minutes before the Galway train leaves, is that cutting it too closely?
So, 2 questions - If I land at 15:00, how long should I allot to get to where the bus is?
2. How much time should I give at Heuston to get on the train once I get off the bus?

I am a Canadian citizen if that makes a difference.
Thanks

You'll do immigration at Heathrow - nothing much at Dublin, maybe a glance at your passport if anything.

You will go through immigration at Heathrow and in Dublin. (Only British and Irish passport holders can bypass Irish immigration. All others must go through Irish immigration. I have done this numerous times.)

At Heathrow you can use the egates. Follow Flight Connections at Heathrow and you will go to a special immigration area for people making connections.

You can catch a bus to Galway outside the Dublin airport terminal. Saves you the bus ride into Dublin and then a separate train ride. Immigration in Dublin should be pretty quick.

Thanks Trotter but it is definitely a train I will be taking. If I have to go through immigration in Dublin, although I am coming from the EU, then I definitely won't have enough time to catch an earlier bus and train, it seems.

It has nothing to do with the EU. It is about Schengen. Neither the UK nor Ireland is in Schengen. When you leave Luxembourg, you will be going through exit immigration for Schengen.
