Londonderry, taxes

Wondering if anyone can tell me what a $128 "National Trust" charge was in Londonderry when I purchased a ring? We were there recently and made this purchase at a jewelry (a $250 ring) and was not informed about any thing like this?? Thanks!

unfortunately we threw receipts away--the National Trust .org appeared separately on our credit card statement. Fairly certain we weren't charged at the time of purchase. Thanks!

Did you go to National Trust properties elsewhere in the UK? Did you have a large group going in or buy a membership?

nationaltrust.org jumps to https://savingplaces.org/ which is a US organisation, nothing to do with the British National Trust.
Are you sure the two charges are connected?

The British National Trust is: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/

I was initially dubious about this post, because the poster wrote "a $250 ring", and anything purchased in Northern Ireland would be priced in £. On my credit card statement, when I purchase anything in a foreign currency, it shows the amount in the original currency, what was charged, and the converted amount. Is this not so on your statement?

Wow, thanks so much for your time in helping! I should have done more homework on this. Turns out it was purchases made at the Devil's Causeway gift shop which is, or course, a National Trust site. I was fairly certain it was a legitimate charge, but just couldn't figure it out at first. Thanks! (loved Ireland)
