we are traveling through Kinsale, Cobhn and Kilkenney in April. We need 3 nights lodging in one of these places. Recommendation? We need 2 rooms. Thanks.
We spent 3 nights at Mena Guest House in Kilkenny and really enjoyed it. It is a short walk into the center of town, but there are at least two pubs within two blocks of the house. Katherine is a cheerful host, breakfast was nice and there is a lovely private garden behind the house. Ample parking in front.

I picked The Club House on price, but it's much nicer than that. A minute from town, parking, good restaurant, and great breakfast. Even some nice stained glass doors. Was once a fox hunting club, hence the name.
I find this post a little confusing, as I wouldn't say that lodging in Kilkenny really serves Kinsale and Cobh. If you are driving through these two on your way from Kilkenny to somewhere else, OK, but to visit Kinsale and Cobh, a better place to stay is Cork.
We will be coming from Dingle, making our way to the Dublin airport, but we need to fill 3 days. If we stay in Kilkenney, and have a 1015am flight, is Kilkenney too far to the airport? Is it better to stay one closer to the airport?
Is Kilkenney worth it for 2 days?
We stayed at the Butler Court Hotel (from RS book). It had a local feel, clean, great location, saved us a parking spot and had breakfast items in our room.
We stayed two nights which gave us one full day. We all wished we had more time.
I think that Kilkenny is too far from the Dublin airport for you to make your 10:15 flight.
You really should be there by 7:15am (3 hours early). And it’s a 1.5 hour drive from Kilkenny if all goes well. That means you’d have to leave Kilkenny no later than 5:45am.
Add another hour if you’re returning a rental car.
Three hours early sounds like a lot, but you never know when you’ll be randomly selected to have your luggage searched, etc. You probably won’t need all that time, but you might!
