Limerick didn't make it into Rick's Best of Ireland??? Any favorites near the castle?

I also don’t see Limerick mentioned in Rick’s full Ireland book (though I’m looking at an older January 2021 edition right now). I’m just starting to outline a possible Ireland trip in 2025. I did find this though: https://www.discoverireland.ie/limerick/accommodation

Thanks. I travelled to Ireland at the end of September and stayed at The City Hotel while in Limerick. It was a nice room, staff was great, food was decent. All good.

We stayed at the Hotel Absolute in 2016. It was almost new and it was the first time we had experienced snazzy light switches that required your keycard, etc. (We live in a very rural area that has just discovered fire).
Very nice for the low price (at the time). It was difficult to find the entrance amongst some one way streets.
Nice breakfast buffet and short walk to all the restaurants, pubs, Hunt Museum, Castle, etc.
