We have a long layover in Dublin from about 9 pm to 11 the next morning in late July. Is it possible to get out and see Dublin? If so any suggestions on what can be seen in that amount of time and during those hours?

Keep in mind that you need to be back at the airport in enough time for security screening, and that getting back to the airport takes about 30 minutes. If you are going on to another point in Europe you probably only need to be there 60-90 minutes early. You need to be 2.5-3 hours early if you are headed back to the States because you will go through US Immigration at the Dublin airport before boarding your plane. The extra step can take a significant amount of time.
