We have a 1:30 flight out of Dublin on the Saturday before St. Patricks day - wondering where we should stay before our flight. Perhaps a town right outside of Dublin? Any towns/ and or b&b recommendations would be appreciated!
We stayed at castle view b&b in trim. Nice people, comfortable room, tasty breakfast, easy walk to trim castle and easy drive to Dublin airport. http://www.castleviewhouse.ie
We stayed at the Hilton Dublin Airport. It was modern and very well priced the two times we stayed there. Buses were across the street to the center city, and good restaurants are within walking distance.
The Clayton Hotel Airport is also close by, and it's priced decently.
This Airbnb is in a great location between Dublin airport and the city center so you will not be too far from airport just a 10 minute drive and you have the option of going into town to have dinner and relax the night before your departure.
I have stayed in Dublin city centre and had no problem getting to the airport for early flights. Taxis are dependable and it doesn't even take 30 minutes. The night before a trans-Atlantic flight, you will want to take a nice long walk, so why not walk through Dublin!
