Kinsale to Galway (Ring of Kerry in-between)?

We are first-time travelers to Ireland and will leaving Kinsale early morning on June 21 to visit as much of the Ring of Kerry as possible, then landing in Galway on the evening of June 22. We plan on staying one night (6/21) somewhere along the Ring of Kerry route. Any suggestions or is this even possible given our timeframe?

Assuming you have a car, it should be okay to do the entire Ring, although that's a peculiar goal with all of southwestern Ireland open to you. It looks like lodging somewhere on the northern side of the ROK would equalize your two days. You should have enough time to stop for some sights along the way. Too bad you don't have time for Skellig Michael while you're in that neck of the woods (assuming you like puffins).

We've done it twice, once cutting off via Ballaghbeama Gap and the full loop while taking in Skellig Michael on another trip.

You will hear advice about which way to go (CE or CCW) which I would ignore. I'd rather meet buses head-on than have to follow one the whole way, but that's just me.

Yes it is possible taking two days. Don't miss the section between Kenmare and Killarney on the N71 which may involve doubling back along this bit of the route. This section includes Moll's Gap, Ladies View, Torc Waterfall Muckross...
