We will be traveling by car from Kinsale to Kilkenny, and want to make a stop in Cobh on the way. I'm looking at 2 options: follow RS directions and take the ferry into Cobh, or drive to Cork and take the train. Has anyone done either of these?
We took the ferry both to Kinsale from Cobb and back and it was a super easy trip. Cost was minimal and saved driving time.
If driving take the Passage West ferry from Glenbrook to Carrigaloe for 8 Euro single + 2 Euro single for each passenger- that will be much easier and faster than driving into Cork for the train.
It is still a short drive into Cobh from Carrigaloe.
Then you can drive direct from Cobh to Kilkenny without diverting back into Cork.
You make it sound so easy! We will take the ferry into Cobh and then will be able to head to Kilkenny from there. Thank you for your help!
