Kinsale for 1full day visit surrounding area

Hello everyone

This is the frame of the trip in Ireland

" me and my wife arrive Ireland after 3 days in London
rent car in Dublin mid July 2017
drive to Kinsale for 2 days visit surrounding area
drive to Killarney thru kenmare we stay 2 nights in Killarney drive Ring of Kerry
drive to Dingle 1 night at Dingle
drive to Ballyvaughan thru Cliff of Mohar 1 night Ballyvaughan
what is optimal scenic rute ? can i get ferry from tarbert to killimer ?
after that
drive to Athlone 1 night
drive to Dublin 2 nights

back to London 2 nights 3 full days "

we have 1 full day in Kinsale

What a route with a car to choose from in the southwestern part of Ireland

Regarding a driving route from Kinsale to Killarney:

You can take the N71 road most of the way. It's the fastest route, and very scenic, especially from Kenmare to Killarney. You will drive through the mountains and Killarney National Park. The views are breathtaking.

If you have time, you could take the R600 out of Kinsale and along the coast, until it meets up with the N71.

Also if you have time, there is a beautiful stone circle on a short detour off the N71 near Roscabery. From the N71, take R597 from Roscabery, and follow the signs to Drombeg Stone Circle. You may very well have the place all to yourself. Then get back on R597 and continue westward until you join the N71 again.

We just took this drive a few weeks ago. You should probably allow an entire day for this drive, especially if you follow it exactly.
