Hello!
Spent three nights in Cobh earlier this year in February and absolutely loved the town...am heading back in November! Although due to how I have my trip planned I can only do one night in either Cobh or Kinsale.
I have yet to visit Kinsale and am wondering-do I bypass Cobh and head to Kinsale? I love Ricks description of Kinsale-sounds wonderful-but don’t want to miss Cobh.

Been to both several times. Prefer Kinsale it just seems more quaint. Why not Cobh for morning and maybe lunch then Kinsale for afternoon and night.

I visited Kinsale upon Rick’s advice and wished I had skipped it. Getting around in this very touristy town was horrific. Maybe if i had stayed longer and not stayed in the heart of the historic area my opinion might have been different. I honestly enjoyed other places more.
We enjoyed Kinsale this summer, stayed at a wonderful B & B called the Old Presbytery which is in the RS book. Plenty to do and see, good hiking up to Charles Fort, lots of pubs and restaurants.
