Has anyone toured this particular museum and is it worth booking tickets in advance? Any idea how far it is from Cassidys Hotel? Thank you.

I think the Gaol is one of the top things to do in Dublin, and I believe most others would agree. We thought it was fantastic, extremely informative, and well worth our time. And yes, I would book tickets in advance, as it tends to fill up (although we were there in October on a weekday and had no issues without advanced tickets). Looks like that hotel is about 4 kilometers from the Gaol - much of it along the River Liffey. Not a bad walk if you have extra time, but there are also buses that'll drop you off right at the Gaol if you'd rather do that.

It was a highlight for us last summer. I would for sure add it to my list and book tickets ahead

We are going in two weeks and I already have our tickets. From what everyone says, this is something you don't want to leave to chance. Enjoy!
