Tickets sell out so quick. You have to work in Dublin time and be online as soon as your date opens. I was in transit in June when July tickets opened up. My neighbor, who I was meeting in Dublin, bought our tickets. It took her three tries in 10 minutes to buy them. We got the day we needed; the time was later than we planned but worked out fine.

If you can, take the GPO (Post Office) tour a day or two before you go to the Gaol. It helps to put history and events in perspective.

The tickets go on sale 28 days out, which may be why they've already sold out for your dates. The other suggestion is to check online day of at 9:15am to see if any have become available, which of course impedes other plans you have made for that day.

We got lucky and got tickets 2 days prior to our tour date. That was 10 days ago. Check a few days ahead, and keep checking, you should be ok. It is worth it, takes about 1hour for the tour.

I did this successfully this morning in Dublin for three same day tickets for a 12:30 tour. Get on the kilmainham gaol site early (before. 9:15). Keep refreshing the browser for the date “today’s date.” Don’t just click show tickets since that does nothing. Refreshing the browser will update when the tickets are released. The time box for availability will turn blue and show the number of tickets available. Hop on it as soon as possible. My first two times I clicked, the tickets were no longer her available. The third time worked. So be sure you are on fast wireless connection. I was on wireless at Hampton Inn.

Today is also NFL in Dublin weekend, so crazy busy and hotels are 4 x normal rates.
