Killarney National Park

Would it be better to drive through Killarney National Park or take a tour? Which do you think would be more worthwhile? And do tours allow you to get out and walk around places like Muckross Abbey and Ross Castle? We were considering Corcoran's, but want to make sure to get the most out of the experience. We only have one day in this area.

We did the Abbey, Muckross House and gardens, Torc waterfall, Gap of Dunloe and drove through the Black Valley on our own in a day. There's a lot of info in the RS guide so unless you want the experience of someone driving you around I would DIY.
