I'm planning a 5 night trip to Killarney in mid-November, flying in and out of Shannon. Planning on renting a car and driving the Ring of Kerry. I'm thinking of breaking up the drive into two days and looking for advice on a good mid-point to spend the night. Also any restaurants or activities that we should not miss during our trip would be appreciated. Thanks!

With a car, you can stay anywhere. My recommendation is to use your preferred site for accommodation (booking.com, AirBnB, VRBO), fill in your requirements, zoom the map to Valencia Island and the tip of the peninsula and see what appeals to you. Ordinarily, I would recommend staying somewhere with a sea view, but in November, you won't have the daylight hours to enjoy it. Instead, I would say find something that is walking distance to two or more pubs (in case you don't like the first one), which you can sometimes tell from the listing, but sometimes you have to zoom way in on Google Maps.
