Kilkenny-Waterford-Kinsale. Trying to pack in too much or do-able?

We are planning to going to Waterford after our 2nd night in Kilkenny. Do you think we can drive to and tour Waterford, stop in Lismore and then drive to Kinsale to spend the night. Is that too much or should we stay in Cobh or Cork one night? Then go to Kinsale for 2 nights after that? I want to spend some time in the area since there seems to be a lot to do and I'm trying to track down ancestors from Cork area.
Thank you for advice and also any recommendations for places to stay in that area!

It should be doable. Its about 130 miles and will take 3-4 hours to drive, depending on traffic PLUS any stops. A lot may depend on bow long you plan on spending in Waterford.

Cobh is about an hour's drive ffrom Kinslae. On nighters can be hard work, so better to plan on 3 nights in Kinsale rather than a 1+2

We were just in Kilkenny for 3 nights and enjoyed it. We chose not to go to Waterford based on RS description and locals saying it wasn’t a nice place. Very industrial port city and Waterford crystal co is long gone. Nothing nice or interesting for a tourist. Do you have a special reason for going there? If not, i’d allot your time to somewhere else.

Thanks for your replies. After doing some more research, and reading comments, we've decided to skip Waterford. We'll make our way to Kinsale and explore the area from there.
