jameson tours

I am trying to see if there is any difference in the 2 different Jameson distillery tours? 1 is in Dublin and 1 in Cork. I'm going to both cities and just trying to optimize my time to the fullest. any input would be great

I never pass a brewery or distillery tour, the samples are great. I have taken both, I really liked the tour at Middleton, it was very informative and I plan on going to it again.

It's in the middle of the island, and you may not go near it, but we went to Tullamore and had a great time. This was two years ago too, and I understand they have improved on it since then. You could combine Tullamore and Clonmacnoise as a day trip from either Dublin or Galway.

thanks for the follow up friends! I never ass a brewery either. I am just trying to see if i should do one city vs the other to allot more time to sightsee other things. I plan on doing Guinness tour in Dublin and Temple bar and didn't know since i only have 2 days there to do the Jameson tour in cork? Any other thoughts

I was on a tour. We stopped at Jameson in Middleton on the way to Cork. I really enjoyed the tour. You'll see the old buildings and distillery and its processes, very interesting. Volunteer to be a taster at the end of the tour - good fun and you get a little extra to drink. I think that in Dublin, you tour the modern facility, so not nearly as interesting.

One of my favorite things in Dublin was the Literary Pub Crawl. You can do your own crawl in Temple Bar from late morning to late night, but the tour is very entertaining. And there are a lot more sights and experiences in Dublin.

Jameson in Dublin is not an active facility so is a mix of films and tour around some displays and old machinery, followed by a whisky comparison tasting and then a drink. I believe this is broadly similar to the Cork tour, but I haven't been on that one.

The tour in Cork/Midleton is great! We enjoyed it more than the Guinness tour, though it was good as well.

The best part of the Midleton distillery tour is the walk through the ageing room. You can definitely tell by the aroma that the angels are getting their share!
