Thoughts or Suggestions on my 11 Day Itinerary

I'm traveling to Ireland mid-September for 11 days and looking for suggestions. Flying into Shannon and out of Dublin. My Dingle time is based on visiting a friend there so can't really change those - but can shorten by a day. Have been once before and spent time in Dublin, Kilkenny, Rock of Cashel, Gouganne Barra, Kenmare, Dingle, Galway, Connemara, Inisheer.

Think I'd like to check out the Blarney Stone, Bunratty Castle, Waterford, and Wicklow.
Would like to get some recommendations!

Thanks in advance!
Kelley

Day 1 Arrive into Shannon early am; stay in Doolin
Day 2 Bunratty
Day 3 Killarney
Day 4 Dingle
Day 5 Dingle
Day 6 Dingle (or ?)
Day 7 Cork or Kinsale
Day 8 Waterford / Wexford
Day 9 Glendalough / Wicklow
Day 10 Head toward Dublin
Day 11 - Maybe do a day trip to Northern Ireland from Dublin?
Day 12 Fly out of Dublin

We've really enjoyed our time in Ireland both times, it will be lovely wherever you go!

Killarney National Park was beautiful and we did a few walks there, including Muckross House.

If you think you can squeeze it in- I can't remember how far it is from Shannon, but Doolin is adorable. And we did Pat Sweeneys Cliff Walk to the Cliffs of Mohr and that has been hands down our most favorite part of all our European adventures! The Burren area is also close by, as well as Fanore Beach. Gorgeous area.

Do spend some time in Wicklow Mountains!!! I wish we would have had more time there. We walked around Glendalough and Powerscourt Gardens. Also gorgeous 😍😍

We did the medieval dinner at Bunratty Castle. And although it was sort of cheesy- we enjoyed it.

The Rock of Dunamaise near Portlaois is also worth a stop over.

Thank you!
Appreciate the info...do you think Waterford is worthwhile?

We honestly didn't make it to Waterford- it was on our list last time, but Hurricane Ophelia hit that side of the island pretty bad and we had to change our itinerary.

We went to Waterford years ago when you could your the factory and see workers etching crystal and blowing glass. The second time I don't remember any of that on the tour and both times we were underwhelmed with the town especially compared to so many lovely places but that is just our opinion.

Since this is your second trip, you probably have a good idea of the beauty of Ireland, the kind of places you want to visit, and how fast you like to travel. The only comment I would add is that you have a trip full of one night stays, it looks like. That leaves you with about a half-day of sightseeing in the area where you will stay - and lots of packing and moving. But if that’s not a problem, then you have a nice progression from Dingle to Dublin.

Killarney National Park is definitely worth 2 nights (one full day), unless you plan to see some of that area from Dingle. And I enjoyed Bunratty and the dinner was fun. If you arrive in the morning, the park might make an enjoyable afternoon. Doolin seems like an outlier, though, since it’s the opposite direction. I might use that day elsewhere, unless you are seeing the Cliffs of Moher. The cruise below the Cliffs was also really nice (on a good day).

Ah yes, the one night stays...was noticing that.
Last time, I had a few two night stays with one night stays interspersed...
I'll take a look and try to make things a bit more efficient, I think.

"Day 6 Dingle (or ?)"

So subjective, but based on our experience, you might want to subtract a day from Dingle and add it to Kilarney, allowing more time for Ring/Kerry and perhaps Beara Peninsula (easily accessed from Killarney) for a scenic drive with little traffic and no tour buses (roads too narrow). As you probably learned from your last trip, you can't go wrong going almost anywhere.
