Hello!
We are in Dublin for 6 nights. We were thinking of taking a train to Cork and renting a car to drive back to Dublin. I'd apreciate some suggestions for the drive back. I was thinking about seeing Kinsale, Kilkenny and Glendalough. Is this too ambitious?
Are you in Dublin now? Are you thinking of this as a day trip? I would say that it is definitely too ambitious for a day trip. To see those four places you would probably need at least three days. Travel by car always takes much longer than you would imagine and longer than Google maps says. I've not been to Kilkenny or Glendalough, but Kinsale is a pretty little seaside town. That said, it took forever for us to find parking, and we had to be aware of the time on the meter. If you have the time, those would all be lovely places to visit. My son has been to the Kilkenny and Glendalough and loved them.
I do think that it is too ambitious especially if you want to actually take the time to see things.
What are your 'must do/see" while in Ireland?
Thank you for your replies. I am rethinking our options.
